On September 11th from 9a until 3p the Hoxworth Blood Donation Van will be at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. We would like to have a filled appointment book for donations from our community. Please consider donating blood to a wonderful organization for a great cause. We are now taking appointments for donations. The appointments are 9am to noon and noon to 3pm, four appointments every fifteen minutes. You may comment below regarding any time slot you are interested in, or you may contact Diana Moore with a time by leaving a message at 752-2544.
There is also a sign up sheet in the church lobby.
Participating as a community can save lives. For participating in this generous gift to others, Emmanuel United Methodist Church would like to offer you a free meal as a token of our gratitude for your participation.
We encourage you to share this information with others who may also wish to donate.
Let us count the wondrous blessings we have each recieved and give the gift of life to someone in need. Please mark your calendars. A vast amount of people are at risk when the blood bank gets low. Help us do our part.
You may be the person to help someone in need.....
God bless you and thank you, Diana Moore, Chairperson Community Health Lynn Hartley, President United Methodist Women

Beginning September 12th, a new sermon series will get started entitled 'Developing The Disciple'. It is a 6-week story designed to help you understand yourself as a disciple of Christ as well as consider the process of those around you as they learn to know and love God better each day. It is a biblically-based series inspired by Pastor Joe's mentor, Rev. Dan Glover, who wrote the book Deepening Your Effectiveness. We invite you to join us Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30. Our story starts with a beautiful day strolling the beach. The chair in the picture is yours.
